Lent Week 1: Tuesday | Matthew 6 (5-15)

I have to take my mom out for a medical appointment this morning, so I will again keep this relatively brief.

N.T. Wright summons us: "Lord, teach us to pray; teach us to forgive; make us your people. Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory."

This calls to mind the writing I just finished for my blog Torah with Jonathan. Same image as above, different text. Please give it a read if you have some time.

I think I need to own the Aquarian "New Age" label. I still have some doubts about it, especially in relation to a traditional Catholic point of view, but I cannot pretend that I am NOT an Aquarian New Age astrologer as well as an aspiring Christian contemplative.

As I see it, the Seven Noahide Laws are at the core of the Aquarian Age. Here is my current formulation of them. It's a work in progress:

• Sunday | Sun | Respect for the Unity of God
• Monday | Moon | Sexual Responsibility
• Tuesday | Mars | Protection of Human Life
• Wednesday | Mercury | Constructive Speech
• Thursday | Jupiter | Philanthropic Sharing
• Friday | Venus | Kindness to Animals
• Saturday | Saturn | Respect for Courts of Justice

Regarding sexual responsibility and the protection of human life, we need to keep talking about a revolution in our state, national, and global carrying capacity ethics. What is sustainable? What is fair?
